"Both of my kids are growing with care"
Asif has been admitted in the Day Care Centre (DCC) when he was two years old. His parents came to Dhaka to change their economic condition and ensure better education to their children. When they arrived, they rented a small house, considering the less income they were earning every month, being not able to find a fixed job. His father was a rickshaw puller and his mother could not work at the beginning, because she didn’t have anyone who could take care of him.
After few months, they were in serious crisis and also his mother had to start working. At that time, she came to know from some local people that a Day Care Center (DCC) for children run by Aparajeyo Bangladesh (AB) opened nearby their house. Immediately she asked for more information about it and she decided to admit Asif there.
His parents felt secure about his staying at the DCC during the day so that his mother started working as house maid. Later on, his father got another job as security guard, but it was not a full time and regular one, reason why his mother’s job was essential to arrive at the end of the month. She felt and she still feels very grateful to the DCC teachers that are taking care of her son. Thanks to her earning, she is now able also to send some money every month to her original village where another son is leaving with grandparents. Now all of them feel happier and more confident about their lives.
