"Women’s Café taught me to lead a prosperous life"
Selina is a garment’s worker. She is living with her husband and her three children near one of Phulki’s Day Care Centre (DCC). Two daughters are enrolled and regularly attend the classes. For this reason, she is connected with Phulki’s cluster and she is aware of the program and training held at the Women’s Café (WC) in the afternoon.
Due to her job, unfortunately she cannot be a regular participant. However, one day she attended a session on family planning (FP) methods; she had the opportunity to discuss on this regard with the Master Trainer and she found something very interesting for her. She actually didn’t know before the existence of these various methods.
After receiving the Sexual Reproductive Heath and Rights (SRHR) training at the WC, she got a clear idea. Having already three children, she didn’t want any other child, but she didn’t know where to go for consultations and taking any FP method with proper medical assistance. Phulki’s Master Trainer suggested her to visit Marie Stopes Clinic, where medical staff can provide her more information on FP methods.
Selina went to the nearest one and she finally decided for the implant method. She really wished to have a healthy family life without further pregnancies. She really thanked and she is grateful to Phulki’s initiative to support women through counselling and awareness in the WC.
