Sanjana was admitted to the Day Care Center in 2016, when she was 4 years old. Sanjana’s father came to Dhaka to improve his financial situation and shortly thereafter married Sanjana’s mother. They rented a house, but they were living hand to mouth. Sanjana’s father was a cook and her mother a house maid. When Sanjana was born, her mother could not work as the child was very young and she needed lot of care and attention. After two years, Sanjana’s mother restarted working as house maid. During that time Sanjana’s older sister looked after her. However, after she got married her family started looking for someone to take care of her while they were working. From people in their community they came to know that AB has reputable Daily Child Care Centers. This relieved Sanjana’s parents as they admitted her at one of these Centers. In this way they were able to earn more money. Sanjana’s parents are very happy to leave their daughter there whilst they continue working in order to support the family, and lead a happier and more relaxed life as a result.
